Verify and Validate Zephyr Enterprise to QMetry Migration
Verifying and validating Zephyr Enterprise to QMetry Migaration is recommended.
Validate User Login
Log in using SSO (if SSO or LDAP integration is enabled). If your QMetry account uses SSO or LDAP integration, ask an existing user to log in using their credentials.
Verify the UI in the left navigation bar.
Verify that the modules appear in the left navigation bar.
Click each module to confirm that you can navigate to the corresponding section.
Verify the logged-in user’s full name (first and last name). Validate that the displayed name matches the information associated with your user account.
Verify that all predefined roles are available in QMetry. For more information, refer to Role Module Migration. Refer to QMetry documentation to know more about Roles.
Validate Project Settings
Click Projects Management and select Projects to validate the project count.
Verify each project name and project key for completeness and accuracy.

Verify that the Derive Test Case Execution Status from Test Case Step Status setting matches the values in Zephyr before migration.
Validate Releases and Cycles. For more information, refer to Release and Cycles.
Click the Users tab and verify that each user is assigned the correct role across different projects. For more information, refer to Assign Project to Users.
Click the Integration tab to review the integration settings and ensure that the Jira Integration setting appears. For more information, refer to Integration.
Validate Release and Cycle Information
Validate that the Project Management and Release Cycle pages display no errors. For more information, refer to Managing Releases and Cycles.
Verify the Releases and Cycles from the respective ZE Project.
Validate Build Information
Confirm that the build list displays no errors. For more information, refer to Managing Builds.
Verify the Build List for the respective ZE Project.
Validate Platform
Confirm that platforms are listed and the page appears without any UI errors. For more information, refer to Managing Platform Attributes.
Verify the Platform List for the respective ZE Project.
Validate Execution Status
Confirm that the Execution Status page appears without any UI errors. Validate that custom execution statuses are available. For more information, refer to Execution Status Management.
Verify the Execution Status List for the respective ZE Project.
Validate Customization Settings
Confirm that the Customization List and Manage Fields pages display no UI errors.
Verify that the Custom Fields and User-Defined Fields are migrated for the ZE Project. Validate that the values for single-select lists, multiselect lists, and cascade lists are correctly migrated.
Validate Test Case Module
Confirm that the Test Case module page displays without any UI errors.
Verify the folder structure and the count of test cases.
Expand nested folders to check for UI errors and validate the test case count in each folder.
Validate a few sample test cases.
Verify all the test case details, including system, custom fields, linkages, and attachments.
Verify attachments are accessible and correctly linked to test cases. For more Information, refer to Attachments.
Validate Test Suite Module
Verify that the Test Suite page displays without any UI errors.
Review the folder structure.
Expand and verify the nested folders.
Open a few sample test suites and validate the tabs.
Validate Requirements Module
Validate the Jira Requirements, their contents, and their Test Case Linkages.
Validate the Internal requirements, their contents, and their Test Case Linkages.
Validate Issues Module
Validate Internal Defects, their contents, and their linkages.
Validate Jira Defects, their contents, and their linkages.
Validate Test Execution
Validate test execution and test step execution. For more information, refer to Test Execution.
Validate defect linking. For more information, refer to Link issue.
Validate the change log and the test result log.
Validate System Reports
Confirm that each report returns data. Adjust date ranges or other filters to validate that the data syncs correctly.
